Our Chef at the Blackfin Pub

The Blackfin’s Executive Chef, Nigel McMeans, has over 30 years food & beverage experience. Upon graduation from the Culinary Program of what is now Vancouver Island University, his career began at the Empress Hotel in Victoria.

Sous Chef at the West Bay Polo Club in Grand Cayman came next for McMeans, followed by extensive travels to Asia and Europe which further enhanced his techniques and skills.

McMeans’ passion for food and cooking brought him to the Blackfin in 2006, as Executive Chef where his culinary team creates a memorable dining experience for all at the Blackfin Pub.
